Job Description

At Karos, we’re reinventing short-distance mobility, making everyday trips smarter, greener, and shared. Our short-distance carpooling platform helps companies and local governments reduce car use and improve daily life for thousands of commuters. With more than 400B2B clients, 1 million users, 10 years of experience, and a team of 90+ people across France and Germany, we’re scaling with purpose.

To support this next chapter, we’re hiring a CHRO, a strategic and hands-on leader who will steer our people function with energy, clarity, and empathy.

Based in Paris, this role reports directly to the CEO and is a full member of the Executive Committee. The CHRO will lead the HR & Office team, and drive our strategy across France, Germany and more.

MISSIONS :

●      Design and lead our global HR strategy, aligned with our mission and business goals.

●      Support teams through change helping us reorganize with focus and care.

●      Bring fresh energy to the culture, strengthening engagement and team cohesion.

●      Modernize our processes: implement smart, efficient, tech-enabled workflows with a strong command of AI tools to help us do more with less.

●      Coach and empower managers on recruitment, feedback, performance, and team growth.

●      Ensure compliance with French labor law and oversee German HR practices with local support.

●      Oversee workplace experience: our offices matter, and you’ll help make them count.

●      Develop and embed CSR initiatives, aligned with our sustainability mission.

●      Foster constructive dialogue with employee representatives and contribute to a healthy social climate.

Preferred Experience

A people person, a builder, and a strategist. The CRHO knows what it takes to scale a company, and you believe People aren’t just a support function but the key to perform.

●      Significant experience : 10+ years in HR, with experience as an HR lead or Head of HR in a growing company (ideally a startup or scale-up).

●      Mastering of the social regulation : french labor law, and experience in multicultural and international HR.

●      People matter : support and challenge managers and employees with empathy and pragmatism.

●      French and English speaking

●      Interpersonal & communication skills : ability to listen, sense of service, proactivity and ability to make proposals

●      Project management

●      Management tools / HRIS
