Why are we recruiting a Marketing & Communications Manager?
This is a new and exciting role for Blunomy, with the potential to make a real impact within this successful and entrepreneurial consulting and advisory business.
Initially established in France almost twenty years ago as ENEA Consulting, the business that is now Blunomy was a visionary and pioneering organisation, helping clients address challenges and opportunities around the energy and climate transition, long before ESG, sustainability and decarbonisation strategies were widely understood and adopted by organisations.
A rebrand to Blunomy several years ago signalled a desire to build on the organisation’s impressive track record and expand its geographic and sector reach, and the range of tools and services it offers clients.
Right now, Blunomy is hugely respected by those in the know, but less known in the broader business, energy and climate transition worlds. It has no shortage of experts and opinions, is rich in data and insights and is hungry to ramp up visibility and understanding of its offer, specialisms and people. This is where the new role comes in.
The role
The Marketing & Communications Manager will operate across the business, liaising with Partners and expert employees globally to generate and execute on ideas and content in support of Blunomy’s brand and reputation objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
· Partner with leadership to develop and own a marketing and communications strategy to build visibility for the business, prioritising key markets, audiences, specialisms and the appropriate channels to reach them
· Act as an internal ‘content editor’, collaborating with internal teams to identify stories, case studies, and opportunities for brand storytelling, sharpening these into compelling pieces of content. Likewise staying plugged in to what’s happening externally in the world and how this might create thought leadership opportunities for Blunomy to tell its story.
· Maintain and own delivery of a marketing and communications calendar, working with external providers to produce, distribute, and optimise content, potentially including:
o Newsletters
o Social media content, with a focus on LinkedIn
o Website updates
o Thought leadership content
o Media relations and PR
o Events appearances
o Partnerships and sponsorships
· Analyse performance metrics and adapt strategies to improve engagement and reach, and ultimately build Blunomy’s pipeline of inbound enquiries.
