Job Description

Are you a passionate engineer with a strong foundation in system engineering and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge robotics or automotive projects? We're seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team and play a key role in developing innovative solutions.

Within the System and Safety team, the System engineer plays a central role for EasyMile. In a close collaboration with the Safety and the engineering teams, especially the architects, product owners and techleads, he/she analyzes the needs expressed by stakeholders (Programs, Operations, Customer), he/she formalizes and specifies technical solutions (elaborate with Engineering), highlighting the pros and cons to enable EasyMile to make informed choices regarding the technical and technological roadmap.

As a true project leader, the Systems Engineer monitors and coordinates the development of assigned system features throughout the entire process, from specification to validation.

As part of a replacement, we are seeking a systems engineer who will be responsible for drafting cross-functional specifications for our autonomous solution.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support Programs and Operations teams in the specification of the technical solutions, formalizing the most optimised Operational, functional and Safety concepts

  • Establish the system specifications for any new features in collaboration with architect and Product Owners, breaking them down into component-specific requirements.

  • Collaborate with Safety and Engineering teams in the definition of the global system architecture (through documentation and model-based system tools)

  • Present technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Coordinate the development of major features with other stakeholders until its release on the field

You will be supported when taking up your position, in particular by the other system engineers and lead architects.

What You'll Bring:

Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced Proficiency with System engineering, functional architectures and complex architectures

  • Experience in the robotic and/or automotive domain and/or any other domains relying on complex embedded systems

  • Experience with System engineering tools (requirements, specifications, system architecture modelling).

  • Could be a plus if you are familiar with certification requirements, safety standards and regulations for robotic systems.

Project management expertise:

  • Experience in project management in complex technical environment

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who excels in a collaborative environment. You possess intermediate proficiency in essential soft skills, including autonomy, teamwork, communication, rigor and method, proactivity, pragmatism, and synthetic thinking. Your advanced fluency in both English and French enables seamless communication across diverse teams.

Recruitment Process

  • 30 minutes call with the Recruitment manager

  • 1h interview with Romain Dupont the Safety and System Director

  • 1h interview with architect, tech lead or PO (including Safety) → depending on profile

  • 1h interview with Product manager (program) and V&V manager (operations)

  • Final interview with the System and Safety director and the Recruitment manager
