Job Description

 

💻 The Role: Software Engineer (ReactJS/NodeJS) 

As a Software Engineer, this person will join an ambitious tech team, working on a wide range of challenging and high-impact technical topics. Depending on their expertise and interests, they may contribute to one or more of the following areas:

Product: Collaborate with Product Managers to design the future of online shopping experiences, including the development of AI-powered features and scalable systems to process massive e-commerce data from around the world.

Operations: Build internal tools and services to enhance the company’s operational efficiency—projects may include customer support tools, fraud detection mechanisms, or internal AI assistants.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Software Design & Development: Translate product or operational needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Tackle complex, undefined problems through exploration and innovation.
  • Deployment & Monitoring: Own projects from development through production, tracking their impact closely.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, review code/specs, and lead discussions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Align projects with company goals alongside Product and Ops teams.
  • Process & Tool Optimization: Continuously improve workflows and tools for better efficiency and quality.

 

 

Preferred Experience

  • Holds a degree from a top-tier engineering school or equivalent background.
  • Strong analytical thinker and pragmatic problem solver.
  • Quick to learn new technologies, languages, and frameworks.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; enjoys hands-on work and solving meaningful problems.
  • Skilled in at least one programming language and writes clean, maintainable code.
  • Detail-oriented, with a knack for identifying flaws or edge cases.
  • Able to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when simplifying complex ideas.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). French is not required.
