Fondée en 1983, APL est une société spécialisée dans le conseil, l’ingénierie, la réalisation et l’exploitation de data centers et des infrastructures associées. A travers sa mission Organic Design, APL s’engage à développer des data centers efficients, sécurisés et évolutifs en symbiose avec leur environnement, pour que la multiplication des infrastructures numériques soit compatible avec le développement durable des territoires. APL a réalisé plusieurs milliers de projets et missions pour des sociétés telles que l’ADEME, Air France, Bouygues Telecom, Cellnex, Crédit Agricole, Crédit Mutuel, DATA4, Dataxion, Econocom, Equinix, Groupama, Groupe Casino, Digital Realty, Macif, Orange, SFR, Sigma, SNCF, Telehouse, Vinci, et auprès de nombreux ministères et acteurs publics.

Job Description

As part of our international expansion, we are recruiting a Project Manager to lead our data center projects in Milan and across Italy.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the overall execution of data center projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Managing scope, budget, planning, risks, and quality to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, suppliers).
  • Driving project governance, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements.
  • Monitoring procurement progress and subcontractor execution.
  • Preparing and presenting project reports and KPIs to senior management and clients.
  • Leading regular coordination meetings with project teams, site directors, and clients.
  • Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to secure project objectives.
  • Acting as the main client interface throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring alignment between design, procurement, and site execution.

Candidate Profile

Hard Skills

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management for construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Solid knowledge of project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office).
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken); Italian is an asset.

Soft Skills

  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage priorities in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Problem-solving mindset and focus on results.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in data centers, critical facilities, or renewable energy projects.
  • PMP/Prince2 certification or equivalent.
